Classification of ICS industrial automation or control system phase models
Classification of ICS industrial automation or control system phase models

1. Basic control category (typical examples include T8110B/C, T8431C, etc.)
-T8110B/T8110C: Often used as the core controller, it adopts Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) technology to provide high reliability calculations for the system, such as precise control of key parameters such as reaction temperature and pressure in petrochemical plants, ensuring production safety and stability.
-T8431C: It is mostly an input/output (I/O) module responsible for collecting on-site sensor signals (such as flow rate and liquid level), or issuing control instructions to actuators. In the factory automation production line, it connects various devices to achieve data exchange and action execution.

2. Communication adaptation class (taking T8151C, T8311C, etc. as examples)
-T8151C/T8311C: It belongs to the communication interface module, which solves the problem of protocol differences between different devices and systems (such as enabling PLC to communicate with intelligent instruments and MES systems), builds an industrial network data transmission channel, and connects the data link between production line equipment and upper management systems in smart factories, achieving real-time synchronization of production information.
3. Security protection category (such as T8231, T8449C, etc.)
-T8231: It may be a secure communication module that encrypts and verifies industrial network data to prevent interference or attacks on critical processes such as nuclear power and pharmaceuticals, ensuring the safe operation of the system;
-T8449C may be used for specific Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) to quickly trigger interlocking, parking, and other actions in hazardous conditions (such as chemical explosion risk scenarios), reducing accident losses.

These models of products jointly support the operation of industrial control systems, covering the entire process of industrial scenarios from production control, data exchange to security protection. Different industries (petrochemical, power, manufacturing, etc.) can be combined as needed to build automation solutions that are suitable for their own needs. If you want to interpret more accurately, you need to combine specific industry and manufacturer technical documents to clarify the functional details of each model.
